The Cross River Police Command has arrested a woman identified as Blessing Eno, for allegedly beheading her 11-month-old son.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Tuesday in Ugep, Cross River State’s Yakurr Local Government Area.
The incident has been confirmed by the State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Irene Ugbo.
According to him, the woman has been arrested.
“Investigation is on to ascertain the reason for her action. But what we heard is that she is mentally deranged,” Ugbo said.
According to reports, the police took the woman into custody to prevent a mob from lynching her.
