Nollywood actress, Shan George, has taken to social media to appeal for help after falling victim to an alleged fraud.
According to her, a person identified as Cecilia cleared out her Zenith Bank account, transferring N3.6 million into an Opay account.
In a distressing message, on her Instagram page, Shan George revealed that she has been left with nothing, including funds to provide for her children’s basic needs like food.
The actress who shared a screenshot of the transaction, pleaded with Nigerians to assist her in any way possible to recover the stolen money.
She wrote, “Nigerians please help me. Someone called Cecilia just cleared all the N3.6million in my Zenith Bank account into her Opay. I’m now koboless. I have nothing to eat with my children”
The actress’s cry for help has sparked an outpouring of sympathy and support from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry.
Many have offered words of encouragement, while others have pledged to help her track down the fraudster and recover the stolen funds.

On her part, @Iambi_bio said the actress should explain in details what transpired between her and the alleged thief. She wrote” The question is what really happened between her and the so called theft? How did the person got access to her account details? Was her bank app hacked or was it someone she knew did that to her? Let her explain in details what really happened.”
@Ajuba101 said the actress needs more evidence to prove her case. “Show receipts. If you don’t, then it is all in bid to remove Opay from the banking industry. I’m not saying you’re lying. I’m saying things like this needs substantial evidence.”
