A viral video of officers of the Nigerian army, beating up an officer of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, has surfaced online, on Monday, August 14th, 2023.
In the trending video, which was shot around the Ojota area of Lagos, the soldiers were seen beating up a yet-to-be-identified LASTMA official, who pleaded in tears to be freed by the army officers.
This incident is coming, barely a week when a similar incident happened, where a LASTMA official was captured, assaulting a soldier inside a commercial vehicle, popularly known as ‘Danfo,’ in the Ketu area of the state.
However, in what seems to be a retaliation to the assault meted on one of their own, a group of army officers, stormed Ojota, and best the LASTMA official who was on duty around the area, to a stupor.
The traffic official could be seen, pleading to be left alone by the army officers, while spectators could be seen scampering for safety whilst the military punching on the man.
