A Lagos socialite identified as Benjamin Best popularly known as Killaboigram, on Monday took to his social media to confess to stabbing his girlfriend to death.
Killaboigram, in the post stated that he and the deceased, identified as Austa_XXO on Instagram, got into a serious argument that saw him stabbing her to death.
He also stated that he ran way from the crime scene immediately after the incident out of fear and he is contemplating ending his own life.
Killaboigram’s post on his IG page @Killaboigram read in part: “I should have left this toxic relationship, but I didn’t. Oh, Lord, forgive me for my sins. I wish I can go back in time and undo this but, it has happened.
“I’m not a bad person, I’m not an evil person, I’m not a criminal.”
In another post, he confessed to the crime saying:
” I got into an argument with my girlfriend @austa_Xxo which fight I mistakenly stabbed her and ran away out of fear and been suicidal since then.
“I want to end my life now cos I’ve lost the one I cherish so much.
“I want to do the right thing and turn myself in. I will gladly die by paying with my life now.
“I ruined my life at the age of 26.”
While reacting to the incident, Lagos Police Command SP Benjamin Hundeyin stated that the command could initiate an investigation into the case.
He also revealed that the mother of the deceased, Onwabhagbe Cordelia of Military Cantonment, Maryland area of Lagos, told the police on Saturday that her daughter and boyfriend were involved in an altercation on Saturday, which she tried to settle.
She also added that her daughter’s roommate led them to the boyfriend’s house in Oral Estate, Ikota, Ajah, where they were able to recover her Mercedes-Benz C30.
According to her, they couldn’t access the apartment until the personnel of the command broke in, only to discover the mutilated remains of her daughter.
