One person has been reported killed during a clash between Hausa and Fulani in a community Ondo State.
According to Sahara Reporters, the incident happened at the popular Ogbese market in the Akure North Area council.
According to reports, the conflict began on Tuesday evening but quickly became out of control by Wednesday morning, resulting in the burning down of multiple market stores.
A dispute between the Hausa people and the Fulani settlers, according to a source, started the conflict.
It was also gathered that security personnel on the ground were reportedly unable to comment on the situation as of press time.
Also, the Ondo State Police Command is yet to comment on the incident, efforts to reach the command’s PRO, Funmi Odunlami Omisanya, proved abortive.
