The Ondo State Police Command has apprehended two suspects for allegedly raping two women to death in Akure and Ore area of the state.
The suspects were paraded along side 18 other suspects by the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Taiwo Jesubiyi.
The CP said the two suspected murderers would be prosecuted in line with relevant laws.
It was gathered that one 27-year-old farm labourer, Mr Mima Chinecherem from Ebonyi State was apprehended in connection with the killing of an 80-year-old grandmother, Madam Felicia Aderibigbe, at her Ore farm in Odigbo Local Government Area.
The second suspect, a 29-year-old Togolese nationale who is also a labourer, Mr Gbegele Mustapha, was reported to have murdered his 58-year-old landlady, Mrs Adijat Olaoye in an attempt to rape her at her room in Fanibi area of Akure.
The Commissioner represented by the command’s public relations officer, Mrs Funmi Odunlami said seven suspected cultists were also arrested in connection with recent Owo cult killings that occurred recently.
Mr Jesubiyi advised members of the public to always work with the police to get the state rid of crimes.
