Real Madrid superstar, Kylian Mbappé, has disclosed that playing alongside his childhood hero, Cristiano Ronaldo, was a dream he once held dearly.
However, he now concedes that the opportunity may never come to fruition.
“Of course, I would have liked to play with Cristiano Ronaldo. It is always great to play with exceptional footballers like him or Messi. Whenever we talk about Cristiano, we also mention Messi. But I am satisfied because I have already played with many great players: Neymar, Pogba, Griezmann, Benzema…” Mbappé revealed.
Reflecting on his time at Paris Saint-Germain, Mbappé also spoke about the privilege of sharing the pitch with Lionel Messi, whom he greatly admires.
“I think it would have been wonderful to play with Ronaldo, but now it is already difficult. I have played against him a few times; he is a legend of the sport. I have a great relationship with Messi. I never thought I would play with him. He is unique, just like Cristiano, and in my opinion, we sometimes underestimate what they have achieved. They are legends of the sport,” Mbappé shared in an interview with BeIN Sports.
Since joining Real Madrid, the French forward has been a standout performer in the 2024-25 season, contributing 13 goals and 3 assists across 23 appearances.
