Popular Nigerian Comedian, Adebowale Adedayo, a.k.a. Mr Macaroni and Lawyer-turn-singer, Folarin Falana aka Falz were present at the #EndSARSmemorial held at Lekki Tollgate on Thursday.
Nigerian Youths and others came out en-mass for the procession which marked the second anniversary of the Lekki shooting.
Popular social media influencer and entrepreneur, Feyikemi Abudu, was also signed among the crowd.
The peaceful protest was marred by the arrest of one of the survivors of the shooting identified as Desmond Jacob by operatives of the Lagos State Police Command.
According to Desmond, he was among peaceful protesters that converged at the Lekki Tollgate on October 20, 2020, the day of the shooting that led to the loss of lives of peaceful protesters.
Jacob was seen kneeling down in front of the toll gate crying before police officers came and picked him up. He was released after interrogation and asked to leave the toll gate.
However, the peaceful procession soon turned into a rowdy session when policemen at the toll gate fired tear gas at protesters.
