French club, LOSC Lille, has reportedly reached an agreement with Ajax Amsterdam to bring Nigerian forward Chuba Akpom on loan.
Akpom, who made the switch to Ajax two years ago after an impressive spell with Middlesbrough in the English Championship, has struggled for consistent game time at the Dutch club.
The Ajax striker attracted interest from several clubs during the winter transfer window, with Sunderland among the teams keen on signing him.
However, reports from France indicated that Lille has now sealed a loan deal for Akpom until the end of the season.
Should the move be finalized, Akpom will become the fourth Nigerian to don Lille’s coloufs, following in the footsteps of Vincent Enyeama, Osaze Odemwingie, and Victor Osimhen.
