The newly appointed Registrar of Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan-Ekiti, Mrs. Abimbola Adewumi, officially resumed office on Tuesday, pledging commitment to excellence in her new role.
Adewumi, who was appointed on January 23 as the institution’s second substantive registrar, holds a BA.Ed. in English from Lagos State University and a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti.
In her inaugural address, she described her appointment as “a call to service,” emphasizing her dedication to upholding the institution’s values. “I will work assiduously not to disappoint the polytechnic and the state government,” she assured.
She also called for cooperation from staff members, urging them to remain committed to their duties. “To all members of staff, I seek your unflinching support, loyalty, and dedication to service with the right attitude and discipline,” she stated.
The Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Sunday Ajeigbe, welcomed the new registrar, congratulating her on the appointment. He highlighted the importance of teamwork in achieving the institution’s vision.
“We believe that with strategic leadership and collaboration, the polytechnic will continue to grow. The management is fully in support of initiatives that will drive the institution forward,” Ajeigbe said.
