Lawmaker, representing Oyo Senatorial District, Barrister Sharafadeen Alli, has urged Muslims across the country to take advantage of the Eid-el-Moulud festivity to pray for the country and its leaders.
Alli gave this urge on Wednesday in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, to commemorate the Eid-el-Moulud, which was the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
Alli, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress observed that it is important for Muslims to use this opportunity to pray for Nigeria and its leaders so that they can be guided aright and take actions that will promote the peace, unity, and progress of the country.
The Chairman, Senate Committee on Independent National Electoral Commission, further called on them to reflect on the teachings of the Holy Prophet and imbibe his exemplary qualities of compassion and selflessness towards one another.
