Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface, has responded humorously after a video surfaced online showing a young boy admitting to selling a pair of boots gifted to him by the Bayer Leverkusen star.
Boniface had given the boots to the boy following Nigeria’s 2-1 loss to Rwanda in a 2025 AFCON qualifier in Kigali.
However, the boy, facing financial struggles, later sold them to a Rwandan player for $100.
The revelation gained traction on social media over the weekend, shortly after the Super Eagles secured a 2-0 victory in their 2026 World Cup qualifier in Rwanda.
Reacting to the viral clip, Boniface left a playful comment under a post by Brila FM, humorously requesting a share of the proceeds.
“Abeg, make una find this boy for me. Make he drop 10% of the money ooo,” he wrote in Pidgin English.
