Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa and right-back, Bright Osayi-Samuel will not take part in the team’s quarter-final clash against Angola in the on 2023 African Cup of Nations in Cote D’ivoire on Friday, February 2.
Musa injured his thigh in training this week, while Osayi-Samuel suffered knee injury.
The Super Eagles captain is yet to feature for Nigeria at the 34th edition of the AFCON.
Musa, with 108 appearances, he is Nigeria’s most capped player since November 2021.
Meanwhile, Osayi-Samuel has made two appearances for the three-time African champions in the competition.
Joes Peseiro’s side will have their final training session ahead of the clash with the Palancas Negras at the Police College, Cocody, Abidjan on Thursday.
The last eight fixture is scheduled to hold at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan on Friday.
