Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has approved the appointment of two monarchs in the state.
This was made known in a statement by the by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi.
The statement identified the two monarchs as the Olufon of Ifon in Orolu Local Government Area area and Onisara of Inisa 1 in Ejigbo South Local Government Council development Area.
The statement read, “Osun State governor, Ademola Adeleke today, Wednesday, 7th February 2024, presided over the 2nd Executive Council Meeting of State Government during which an executive approval of the appointment of Prince Peter Oluwole Akinyooye as the new Olufon of Ifon in Orolu local Government area of Osun State was granted.
“In the same vein, also at the sitting, approval was given to the appointment of Prince Najeem Abefe as Onisara of Inisa 1 in Ejigbo South Local Council Development Area.”
The state government also noted that the Oluwata of Iwata in Ejigbo South Local cal Council development Area has been elevated to a beaded crown status.
“Meanwhile, in line with the Chieftaincy Declaration in consonance with the Chiefs law, Cap 25, laws of Osun State 2022, appointments of Chieftaincy Declaration Oluwata of Iwata as well the Authority, to henceforth be a beaded crown Oba has been granted by the Osun State Executive Council to the Oluwata of Iwata in Ejigbo South Local Council Development Area”, the government said.
