At least 37 rainmakers were reportedly engaged to prevent rain from disrupting Afrobeats singer Davido’s wedding in Lagos on Tuesday.
Big Brother Naija reality star, Tochi Oke, via his X hand on Tuesday, claimed that the rainmakers were holding off the rain in Lagos Island.
Tochi wrote, “37 rainmakers are currently holding the rain in Lagos Island… #Chivido2024.”
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Akwa Ibom State Governor Udom Emmanuel, Seyi Tinubu, Obi Cubana, and the Ooni of Ife, HRH Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, were among the dignitaries at Davido and Chioma’s extravagant wedding on Tuesday.
During the ceremony, Davido assured Chioma’s parents that their daughter would be protected and respected in their marriage.
He also promised her “a lifetime assurance.”
The wedding has been the talk of the town for days, trending on social media with the hashtag #Chivido2024, an acronym formed from the names of the couple, Chioma and Davido, along with the year of the wedding.
During the traditional wedding rites, Davido assured Chioma’s parents that their daughter would be protected, respected, and connected.
