Oyo State Government has announced the opening of a job portal for the recruitment of public primary school teachers, scheduled to commence at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.
According to The PUNCH, the Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr Nureni Adeniran, made this disclosure while briefing newsmen at the Board’s headquarters in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Adeniran emphasized that the opening of the portal for the recruitment exercise is part of the state government’s efforts to address unemployment among its citizens.
The portal will register each candidate with their email, phone number, National Identification Number, and other necessary requirements to provide suitable jobs, either as teachers or caregivers.
The site link for the recruitment of 7,000 teachers and 100 caregivers is subeb.jobportal.oyostate.gov.ng.
The application window will be open for the next three weeks, from June 25, 2024, to July 9, 2024. Dr.
Adeniran also highlighted that two applicants must not use the same email address for the application.
“Education is a major pillar of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration. We are going to have an inclusive government that will utilize valuable potentials that abound in the state, and that’s why we are employing new primary school teachers,” Adeniran said.
Applicants are encouraged to reach out with complaints or challenges encountered during the online application process through the support service provided on the website.
Adeniran advised applicants to upload necessary documents, assuring that the recruitment process would be transparent, fair, credible, and merit-based.
He cautioned applicants to beware of scammers, emphasizing that the only portal for the job application is the one provided.
Adeniran reiterated that the application process is entirely free of charge, and no staff or non-staff person is authorized to collect money from any applicant.
In conclusion, Adeniran expressed gratitude to Governor Makinde for his support and assured that the board would not disappoint him.
