Saudi Arabian club side Al Hilal have made a world-record £259 million bid to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.
The reigning champions of the French Ligue 1 made the decision to make Kylian Mbappe available for transfer, as evidenced by his exclusion from their squad for the pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea.
This move reflects the club’s intention to only include players who demonstrate unwavering dedication to the team.
The forward possesses a contract with a remaining duration of one year and exhibits reluctance to extend it, prompting PSG to hold the belief that he has already reached an agreement to join Real Madrid without any transfer fee in the upcoming summer.
Paris Saint-Germain has received inquiries from a minimum of five clubs in the past few days regarding the potential acquisition of Mbappe, with notable interest emanating from Premier League teams.
Al Hilal’s bid has been confirmed by Popular Italian Football journalist Fabrizio Romano.
“Exclusive: Al Hilal has submitted a world record fee in a formal bid to Paris Saint-Germain for Kylian Mbappé.
The Saudi club has offered a €300 million fee to PSG in order to open negotiations to sign Mbappé immediately.
“It’d be a world record fee, the biggest ever in football. There are no negotiations on the player side at this stage, as sources believe Kylian Mbappé wants to stay in Europe.
“Paris Saint-Germain remain convinced that Mbappé has already signed an agreement to join Real Madrid.
“Mbappé remains for sale and available on the market; PSG expects other clubs to bid soon, up to Real now”, he tweeted.
