The Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, has lost his Commissioner for Youth and Sport, Goni Bukar, in a road accident along the Damaturu-Kano Road.
The victim, a former member House of Representatives, who represented the Bursari, Geidam, and Yunusari Federal Constituency, died on Tuesday evening.
The late commissioner had earlier attended the funeral prayer of one of his associates in the afternoon in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, before departing for Kano.
Buni’s Director General Press Affairs, Babagana Mai-Modu, said the commissioner’s corpse has been deposited at the mortuary of the Yobe State University Teaching Hospital Damaturu.
The governor’s aide explained that two of his friends, who were with him during the accident, are responding to treatment in one of the health facilities in the state.
PUNCH Metro had also reported that Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Friday, lost one of his aides, Omotayo Sanyaolu, in a lone auto crash in the Maryland area of the state.
