AC Milan head coach, Stefano Pioli has explained why Samuel Chukwueze still struggling to make significant impact at the Seria A League.
Pioli who was full of praises for the singer after the game gave this explanation while speaking with DAZN.
Chukwueze opened his Serie A account in AC Milan’s 3-1 away win against Hellas Verona on Sunday.
The Nigeria international replaced Noah Okafor in the 73rd minute and scored the visitors’ third goal a few minutes later.
Pioli expressed optimism that Chukwueze will get better with more games.
“It’s the story of a foreign player who comes to play in a difficult and complicated league, where the demands are certainly different from those he had at Villarreal. He is putting a lot of will and effort into trying to do the best possible
“I believe that too many times judgments are rushed and there is no time to wait. They are guys who come from a different mentality, another way of living and training, another way of playing.
“I’m very happy with the goal and that he’s doing well when he’s called upon. We have the patience necessary to wait for all our players,” Pioli said.
Chukwueze joined the former Serie A champions from LaLiga club, Villarreal, last summer.
The 23-year-old has been consistently criticised for his inconsistent displays since his arrival at the club.
