Chelsea head coach, Mauricio Pochettino, has explained why the Blues were held to 2-2 draw at home by Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday.
Pochettino gave this explanation at his post-match interview after the game.
He lamented that Chelsea players failed to show capacity and energy against the visitors at Stamford Bridge.
A brace from Cole Palmer and a goal from Lorenz Assignon and Dara O’Shea’s ensured both teams got a point each.
Why hitting out at his players, Pochettino said, “Today we didn’t show the capacity, the energy, the hunger that is the minimum to compete in the Premier League.
“In the defensive phase we conceded too much. That is why I am so upset and disappointed.”
He added, “We need to increase our percentage of goals.”
