Tottenham Hotspur head coach, Ange Postecoglou, has explained the reasons behind his team’s 3-2 defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.
Speaking with Skysports after the game, Postecoglou noted that his side made it easy for the Londoners.
Arsenal took a three-goal lead in the first half, but Spurs fought back with two goals in the second half.
Despite their efforts, it was not enough, and Postecoglou’s men saw their chances of qualifying for the Champions League take a dent.
He said, “We allowed them way too easy access to our goal in the first half and it is not acceptable at this level and we paid the price.
“We could not come out here in the second half and not give our supporters a little bit of hope, but it still very disappointing
“We are still not as resilient as we can be especially in the transition moments or set pieces. We allow them far too easy access to our goal. They are a good side and they will punish you if you do not show that steel protecting your goal.”
