The Kogi State Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp, Ahmad Gandi, has restated the commitment of the agency to the protection of critical infrastructures across the country.

The Commandant who took his time to explain the Corp’s core mandate said “We are highly trained, well positioned to make sure all government assets and infrastructure are safe and well guarded.
“We have so many of them in the state and we are doing our best in this regard.
“NSCDC personnel are in all the 21 local government of the state providing security to ensure law and order, protecting lives and property including Critical National Assets and Infrastructure in all nukes and cranny of the state.”
However, he lauded the robust synergy between the NSCDC and the military, adding that this has helped in combating crimes and criminality in Kogi State.
The Army Commander, Brig Gen HI Dasuki, who had earlier appreciated the NSCDC Commandant for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage, acknowledged the NSCDC’s statutory mandate and pledged his support for its success in the state.
He however solicited the cooperation of NSCDC in the area of intelligence sharing, noting that no security agency can do it alone.
“No Security agency can do it alone. As Security agencies, we all have one goal, which is the protection of lives and property on the land,” he said.
