Nigerian social media influencer, Martin Vincent Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan, has taken to social media to call out popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, noting that she was not invited to Davido’s wedding, contradicting her earlier claim that she missed the event due to heavy traffic.
This disclosure came in a video shared on social media by VeryDarkMan.
In the video, Ojo claimed she was watching Davido and Chioma’s wedding online despite being invited.
She explained that heavy traffic prevented her from arriving at the venue on time.
Speaking in an Instagram Live session with her fans, Ojo stated, “Whether you got an invite or not, we’re all the same, watching Davido’s wedding on our phones. Those of us with invites are still stuck in traffic and can’t make it to the wedding.”
In a separate video shared online by VeryDarkMan, Ojo, speaking in Pidgin, said, “We don enter hold up. Na inside hold up here we go do the party. As you see me so, na after the party we dey go.”
Reacting to this, VeryDarkMan, explained that Iyabo Ojo was never invited to the main event, which is why she left home late, aiming to arrive after the main ceremony had ended.
“Iyabo Ojo was not invited to Davido’s main wedding ceremony. She left her home around 4:30 pm to get there by 5 pm, after the main event.”
“Look at this Anty, she said she would begin the party in the traffic. Why were you making it look as if you were held in traffic? Do they invite you to the main party? Where is your invite? Look at what the invite says: ‘The main party is 5 pm and kindly ensure you bring this invitation with you for guaranteed entry. Please note that admission would not be guaranteed before the specified time,” VeryDarkMan added.
He further queried, “Why are you now saying you’re held in the traffic? It’s because you left your home around 4:30 pm so that you would be there by 5 pm. They didn’t give you the main invite. People that have the main invite were there by 10 am.”
In a surprising turn of events, Iyabo Ojo has responded to VDM’s claims. The actress shared evidence of her invitation to the main events on her personal Instagram page.
Iyabo captioned the post, “Ani ewure lo bi seeeeeeee…..eegbo temi. #omoewuredudu.”
Reacting to VeryDarkMan’s allegations, Iyabo’s boyfriend, Paulo, wrote on his Instagram page, “Pray for this Guy!!!! Person wey Swear for this Guy Don Die##😭😭 Is a pity he just have to live in this condition for the rest of his miserable Life!!!🤦♂️🤦♂️ You come for a wedding to check which invite someone have??? Is that not sickness??? I believe you see Iyabo in your dreams every night and day😒 if you say you love your mum? I believe your mum and Iyabo maybe in same age!!! Respect that🤦♂️.”
Davido’s wedding at the Eko Hotel and Suites attracted dignitaries from all walks of life, including his uncle, the Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, and his Lagos and Abia State counterparts, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Alex Otti.
Other notable attendees included former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Akwa Ibom State Governor Udom Emmanuel, and the Ooni of Ife, HRH Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.
Also videos and pictures circulating on social media showed VDM at the wedding venue alongside Victor Osimhen and other celebrities such as Ini Edo, Patoranking, Obi Cubana, Seyi Tinubu, B-Red, Victor Osimhen, Craze Clown, Paul Okoye, and the host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, were also present.
