Arsenal Football Club forward, Bukayo Saka, has arrived Nigeria.
Viral clips making rounds on social media obtained by PUNCH METRO showed the moment the England international arrived at the Murtala Mohammed international airport on Wednesday.
He was seen accompanied by Arsenal TV host, Kelechi Anyikude, also popular sport journalist and social media influencer, POOJA confirmed Saka’s arrival with a tweet late Wednesday evening.
“Bukayo Saka is in Nigeria”, he tweeted.
Saka was born in Ealing, Greater London, to a Yoruba Nigerian parents Adenike and Yomi Saka.
Both of his parents are Nigerian and migrated to London for work. He is the younger of the two children of the couple.
Saka played an important role for the Gunners as they finished second in the Premier League behind eventual winners Manchester City
The Nigerian-English player, has also been recognized for his excellent performance this season, having 14 goals and 11 assists this season for Arsenal.
His arrival to Nigeria comes after he modeled their new home jersey designed by international sports brand Adidas for the 2023/24 season.
Saka also ended the season with a bumper pay rise on his new contract until 2028 with the Gunners.
