Renowned Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has publicly proposed to Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, just a day after confirming their romantic relationship.
A viral video circulating online on Thursday captured the heartfelt moment when 2Baba, while dancing with Osawaru at a gathering, presented her with a ring.
The pair then shared a long embrace, sparking reactions from fans and social media users.
The proposal follows speculation about their relationship, which intensified after 2Baba was seen at the Edo State Assembly and later spotted with Osawaru at a Lagos club.
Amid the growing rumors, the singer took to Instagram on Tuesday to set the record straight.
In a video, he dismissed allegations that Osawaru was responsible for his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia. He stated:
“I have been seeing so many things, so many people coming up with their own false narratives and malicious nonsense after I posted what I posted. Yes, I posted what I posted.”
Defending Osawaru, he added, “Hon. Natasha has been dragged, she has been called all sorts of names, she has been labeled as a home breaker. She is a young, brilliant, amazing woman and had nothing to do with what is happening between me and Annie in our marriage.”
Confirming his feelings for the lawmaker, he declared:
“Yes, I love her, she is amazing, she is cool, I want to marry her.”
