Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has been nominated for the 2023 FIFA The Best Men’s Player Award.
Recall that the Napoli striker was also among the 30-man shortlist for the 2023 Ballon d’Or Men’s Player Award.
Osimhen enjoyed an outstanding 2022–23 season with Napoli, helping the team win the Serie A title for the first time in 33 years and winning the golden boot.
The current holder, Lionel Messi, is also a nominee. Last year, Messi and PSG won the Ligue 1 championship, and he was selected to the Ligue 1 squad of the year.
The list included forward Kylian Mbappe of PSG. In 2022, the French forward came in second place.
