The US actor who made fame in the 1990’s Saving Private Ryan, Tom Sizemore, is reported dead.
The 61 years old actor was said to have died as an aftermath of brain aneurysm on Friday at a hospital in Burbank, California, with his brother Paul and twin boys Jayden and Jagger, 17, at his side.
According to BBC, Sizemore found fame in the 1990s, often playing supporting roles as tough guys – usually military, police or criminal. His other credits included Natural Born Killers, Pearl Harbor and Heat.
He was said to have been battling with drug problems and had also served a jail term for domestic violence.
Also, Sizemore had been in a coma since, suffering a ruptured brain aneurysm on 18 February.
He started gaining prominence on the screen in the 1990s dramas such as Tony Scott’s True Romance, Devil in a Blue Dress, opposite Denzel Washington, and the biopic Wyatt Earp, alongside Kevin Costner.
The Oscar-winning film, Saving Private Ryan in 1998, where he was at Tom Hanks’ side as the loyal Sergeant Horvath brought him to the big screen.
“I am deeply saddened by the loss of my big brother Tom. He was larger than life. He has influenced my life more than anyone I know.
“He was talented, loving, giving and could keep you entertained endlessly with his wit and storytelling ability,” his brother, Paul Sizemore said.
