Stakeholders in the education have established a minimum benchmark score of 140 for admission into universities.
However, this score does not represent a uniform cut-off mark for all institutions, as clarified by Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
According to The PUNCH, Oloyede further cautioned Nigerians against news of JAMB setting cutoff marks.
“JAMB does not set cut-off mark. What we have is a minimum benchmark score that any university cannot go below. Different universities have their benchmark scores.”
