Jim Uwadiae has been named the new director of administration at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital by the management board.
The new director took over on January 31, according to a statement released by Head, Public Relations and Protocols, UBTH, and made available to journalists in Benin on Friday.
The statesman noted that Uwadiae was appointed after Mr. Mustapha Jimoh-Kadiri retired.
Prior to his recent appointment, Uwadiae, according to the statement, served as the Director of Administration in an acting capacity.
It states, “Jim Uwadiae, Esq. is a graduate of the University of Benin and Bendel State (now Ambrose Alli University). In 1991, he earned a bachelor’s degree in history and education.
“He holds the following post-graduate degrees from the University of Benin in addition to having earned a bachelor’s degree in law from the National Open University of Nigeria.
“Uwadiae has master’s degrees in public administration from 1997, health planning and management (MHPM) from 2006, and law from 2021.
“Uwadiae is a fellow of the following organizations: the Nigeria Institute of Management, the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators, and the Institute of Health Service Administrators.”
Lastly, the statement added that Uwadiae is the Chairman, Nigeria Institute of Management, UBTH Unit and Chairman, Institute of Health Service Administrators, UBTH Chapter.
