A resolution denouncing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and demanding peace as soon as possible, has been unanimously approved by the UN General Assembly.
The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, before the war anniversary, paid respect to all those who have fallen since the conflict with Russia erupted in February 2022.
A day before the anniversary of the invasion, he sent an emotional message in which he promised to hold Russia accountable for “all the terror, all the killings, all the torture.”
A missile attack is however, anticipated to coincide with the anniversary, according to the intelligence service of Ukraine.
At the OSCE parliament meeting in Vienna, many attendees organize a walkout in protest over Austria’s decision to grant Russian legislators visas.
UN chief, António Guterres called Russia’s invasion an “affront” to humanity’s collective conscience.
