The popular Canadian rapper, Drake won $1.84 million after New Nigerian-New Zealand mixed martial art fighter, Israel Adesanya knocked out Alex Pereira at UFC 287 to reclaim his Middleweight title.
Adesanya evoked a brutal second-round knockout to close up a victory over his long-term rival, Pereira.
It would be recalled that the Last Stylebender, lost his title to the Brazilian fighter, in November last year.
However, his victory in yesterday’s fight has put an end to his 0-3 losing streak against Pereira.
The rapper Drake had placed a $400,000 bet on Adesanya, to win by knockout, at the last UFC.
However, following Adesanya’s knockout win, the Canadian rapper won $1.84 million from the bet.
The rapper became a lucky winner of the bet, as Adesanya knocked out Pereira to reclaim his middleweight title at the Miami event, yesterday.
