Manchester City netted a late equaliser to deny Real Madrid a 1-0 victory in the first leg of their Champions League semifinal clash at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday night.
Vinicius Junior gave the defending champions the lead in the 36th minute after an assist from Eduardo Camavinga.
However, Pep Guardiola’s men were given a lifeline before the second leg at the Etihad when Kevin de Bruyne netted the all-important equaliser in the 67th minute after an assist from Ilkay Gündogan.
Both sides will have much to do in the second leg for a ticket to the final of the 2022/23 UCL where the eventual winner will face eithe AC Milan or Inter who face each other in the Milan Derby, the first all-Italian Champions League semifinal at San Siro in Europe’s most prestigious club competition in 20 years.
