Nigeria’s Flamingos have been drawn into Group A for the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, alongside hosts Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and New Zealand.
The draw took place on Saturday night at the Monument to Fray Anton de Montesinos in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Reigning champions Spain will compete in Group B, facing off against the USA, South Korea, and Colombia.
The Flamingos will kick off their campaign against New Zealand on Wednesday, October 16.
Their second group match against Ecuador is scheduled for three days later, followed by their final group stage game against the Dominican Republic on Tuesday, October 22.
In the previous edition of the tournament held in India, Nigeria secured third place.
