The Ogun State Police Command on Thursday revealed that two persons have been killed with others injured after cult groups clashed in the State.
According to The PUNCH, this was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who also revealed that a police officer was shot in the process.
Agbowa and other parts of Sagamu were reported to be affected by the cult clash that began on Wednesday night and continued through Thursday morning.
When two competing cults came to blows, a local neighbour said, “the sound of gunshots rented the air,” and everyone had to run for cover.
A witness reportedly saw two bodies towards the end of the fight.
The police also revealed that the injured officer has been taken to the hospital for treatment.
