At least two people have reportedly died while six others sustained various degrees of injuries in an accident that occurred along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Boxing Day.
Spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps in Ogun State, Mrs Florence Okpe disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
She noted that the lone accident involved a Toyota bus carrying eight passengers.
Okpe attributed the accident to overspeeding, adding that the driver lost control of the vehicle before the accident happened.
Okpe said, “The vehicle crashed on the road barrier due to speeding and loss of control.
“The injured victims were taken to a hospital at Mowe in Ogun while the deceaseds’ have been deposited in its morgue” she said.
