Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, has broken the current world record of the longest cooking marathon having cooked for over 87 hours, 45 minutes set by Chef Lata Tandon in Rewa, India in 2019.
Early on Monday, the grand finale day, Baci equalled the record and still has her eyes set on the 96 hours target she gave to herself at the beginning of the marathon.
Fans and supporters are outside the event cheering her on to setting a new world record by the end of today, Monday, May 15.
Upon equalling and exceeding the record, supporters had taken to social media to congratulate her on her courageous feet achieved:

Explaining the magnitude of the feet, @Ugez2 wrote, “If you’ve cooked on Saturday for the family, rice and soup with garri. You’ll know that what she did isn’t easy. After that meal preparation on Saturday, your body go tell you. Let alone cooking for over 87hours. 👏”
