Social media users have taken to Twitter to react to share their mixed reactions after Nigerian music icon, Don Jazzy, retained his Twitter verification badge.
PUNCH METRO reported that Twitter CEO, Elon Musk, introduced Twitter Blue whereby people would have to pay a fee monthly if they wanted to have a verified account on the platform.
Following this development, in the late hours of April 20, 2023, Twitter was buzzing after a number of celebrities all over the world lost their Twitter verification badges.
However, it’s gathered that hours after Nigerian celebrities like Wizkid, Davido and others had lost their verification badge, Don Jazzy’s account retained the verification badge.
This led to speculations that the Marvin record boss had paid for his verification badge.

Also, another Twitter user, identified as @therealt.town_uth: “respecting another man business salute”, tweeted.
Sharing a different opinion, a Tweep identified as, @ericaikince, tweeted,
“I don’t think this idea is good.”
His position was shared by another tweep @danybillionzofficial, who tweeted, “Don no one hear story.”
