Fans of the Nigerian afrobeat maestro, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido have reacted to a statement on social media of Davido saying that the richest man in Africa, Aliko Dangote buys two cars every eight years and always advised him to save his money.
This has stirred a series of reactions from fans as they poured encomiums on Dangote for creating awareness that owning cars does not translate to wealth.
adulfus_o posted: “It was this discipline that brought most of these rich people to the top….learn to cut your coat according to your size for now….then grow your finance, keep growing it…may pressure of seeing people eat their harvest not make us eat our seeds before it grows. Amen.”
Nzeribe_ozy, “It’s only in Nigeria people think that owning a car is translated to being wealthy. Don’t spend so much on liabilities, invest!”
Fabric_mechandise: “Aliko is wise. I listened to one of his podcasts where he said he doesn’t have houses abroad but those who work for him have houses in London. A very smart businessman. Why have houses all over and keep paying bills when you are not even living in them?😩”
_fumilayo_ ” yea. Cus soon or later, those cars would be outdated and depreciated in value.”
Onos_of_warri: “Save your money is the most important financial advise you’ll get contrary to all the invest invest invest advice we see everywhere that will run you into debt.”
