Viral images of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye sitting on a royal throne during one of the church’s event has continued to generate various reactions on social media.
The images obtained by PUNCH METRO, showed moments the popular cleric was seated on a throne which had the inscription, ‘Oba Alayeluwa Olugbontiorile, Igbon Oba Francis Olusola Alao’.
The incident was reported to have occurred during a ‘Let’s Go A Fishing Program’ of the Church in Kwara State.
While sharing pictures of the cleric seated on the royal stool, a tweep, identified as @Animolenikun, tweeted,”It is either Bàbá Adeboye is ignorant of what Ọba stool is or he’s arrogantly flexing muscle based on the fact that he owns the largest congregation of the àgùntàns.
“The Biblical Prophets didn’t mess with the thrones of their Kings.And shame on the fools with the crown.”
Also while commenting, @BourlaH_Voap, tweeted,”Ignorance isn’t an excuse, can we all agree Adeboye is now an initiate?

Sharing similar sentiment, another tweeted identified as @Olusegun Awomore, tweeted “This is absolutely ridiculous. At this point, I’m sure pa Adeboye is bringing ridicule to our culture intentionally.

Sharing a different opinion, @Afro-Freak, tweeted,”Because he sits on a chair meant for a king?
