The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Prof Is-haq Oloyede, has been commended for his stance on the result manipulating issue involving Mmesoma Ejikeme, who eventually confessed to have boosting her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, result.
Mmesoma came to the limelight when the result of her 2023 UTME, where she purportedly scored 362, surfaced on the internet, and this drew attention of many Nigerians, in recognition of her brilliant performance.

However, her ovation was short-lived, when the management of JAMB came out to challenge her score, which positioned her as the highest scorer of the 2023 UTME, noting that her score was manipulated from 249 362. The allegation which she denied.
Meanwhile, the allegation and couter- allegation, informed the quest of the Anambra State Government, where the girl come from, to set up a Committee of enquiry, to look into the controversial result which has sparked some public debates.
However, the report of the Panel, signed by the Honorable Commissioner of Information in the State, Paul Nwosu, confirmed that the young girl confessed to have manipulating the result.
Meanwhile, before her confession, Mmesoma’s result had caused various reactions online. While some people believe that the examination board was right, some were backing her up, accusing JAMB Registrar of ethnic bigotry.
