Men of the Nigerian Army, on Friday neutralized terrorists in Mutuwa, Guda Tudu, Kawar, Dantayawa, Gidan Kare, Mahuta, and Gyado villages of Zamfara and Sokoto states.
According to Channels, this was disclosed by a top military source who stated that the troops cleared terrorists hideouts, while also recovering arms and ammunitions in the process.
He revealed that the troops of Operation Hadarin deployed at Forward Operating Base Faru of Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State received credible information on bandits’ intent to attack Bagabuzu village.
And the troops in response, intercepted the terrorists, preventing them of carrying out their planned attack.
He added that in the process, a General Purpose Machine Gun, one FN Rifle, and 123 rounds of special ammunition were recovered.
Also, the General Officer Commanding 8 Division Sokoto/Commander Joint Task Force Northwest Operation Hadarin Daji, Major General Godwin Mutkut, applauded the troops for resilience, gallantry, and sustenance of the onslaught against the terrorists.
