Transfer: PSG will exist after Mbappe, says ex-director
A former Paris Saint-Germain sporting director, Leonardo, has diclosed that it is time for the PSG attacker Kylian Mbappe to leave the club, noting the club existed before him and it will continue to exist after him.
Mbappe and PSG are currently involved in dispute over a contract battle, with the player making it clear he will not extend his current deal beyond 2024.
It has led to the Ligue 1 champions giving the 24-year-old an ultimatum to sign a new contract or be sold this summer.
“PSG existed before Mbappe and it will exist after him.
“Five teams have won the Champions League in six years. None of them had Mbappe, so it’s entirely possible to win it without him,” Leonardo told L’Equipe.
Mbappe is widely speculated to join Real Madrid soon.
