The inaugural security summit organized by the North-West Governors’ Forum in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme is set to take place in Katsina State, with traditional rulers from the region already arriving at the venue, General Muhammadu Buhari House in Katsina.
According to The PUNCH, Vice President Kashim Shettima is expected to declare the event open, and seven governors from Katsina, Kano, Jigawa, Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi, and Sokoto states are expected to attend.
Notable attendees who have already arrived include the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Saad Abubakar, and the Emir of Zaria, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamali.
