President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will deliver a nationwide broadcast today to address the ongoing situation in Rivers State.
The announcement was made by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information & Strategy, in a statement issued on Tuesday.
According to Onanuga, the President’s speech will be aired at 7 p.m. and will be transmitted live on the Nigerian Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria.
He urged all television and radio stations across the country to connect to the broadcast.
“The President will speak to Nigerians on the developments in Rivers State,” Onanuga stated.
Although specific details of the address were not disclosed, the statement suggests that President Tinubu will provide guidance on the crisis that has gripped the oil-rich state in recent days.
