President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to the former Governor of Borno, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, on the loss of his mother, Hajiya Aisa.
According to PUNCH, Hajiya Aisha passed away on Sunday in Abuja after a prolonged illness, at the age of 93.
She will be laid to rest today, Monday, at the family home of the late Galadima Modu Sheriff on Damboa Road in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.
In a statement released on Monday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, the President also expressed his sympathies to the Modu Sheriff family.
He encouraged the Sheriff family to find solace in the knowledge that the deceased led an exemplary life marked by strong virtues and reached the esteemed age of 93.
“The president prays that Allah grants the departed Aljannat Firdausi and comfort to her family,” Ngelale stated.
