President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of11 new chief executive officers to head various agencies under the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, and Creative Economy.
This announcement was made by presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale.
According to the statement, “Tola Akerele has been appointed as the Director-General of the National Theatre, while Dr. Shaibu Husseini will serve as the Director-General of the National Films and Censors Board. Mr. Obi Asika has been appointed as the Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture, and Aisha Adamu Augie will take on the role of Director-General at the Centre for Black and African Arts and Culture.
“Other appointments include Ekpolador-Ebi Koinyan as the Chief Conservator of the National War Museum, Ahmed Sodangi as the Director-General of the National Gallery of Art, and Chaliya Shagaya as the Director-General of the National Institute of Archeology and Museums Studies.
“Hajiya Khaltume Bulama Gana has been appointed as the Artistic Director of the National Troupe of Nigeria, while Otunba Biodun Ajiboye will serve as the Director-General of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation.”
“Notably, Kannywood megastar Ali Nuhu has been appointed as the Managing-Director of the Nigerian Film Corporation, bringing his wealth of experience in the film industry to the role.”
