Russian airstrikes on a residential area of the industrial city of Kryvyi Rih in southern Ukraine have resulted in at least three fatalities and 25 injuries, according to local authorities early on Tuesday.
According to the military governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Serhiy Lysak, 19 individuals have been admitted to hospitals.
He claimed that Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, was the target of a “massive missile attack”
Three cruise missiles were deflected by air defenses, but other missiles impacted civilian targets.
The leader of the local military administration, Oleksandr Vilkul, had earlier written about a hit on a five-story structure and speculated that there may still be individuals hiding under the debris.
