Terrorists have reportedly killed a soldier, village head of Badole while also abducting an unspecified number of women in Faskari, Katsina State.
According to the African Television Authority, the incident, which occurred about 10:15 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, also resulted in numerous injuries as the terrorists were shot sporadically.
The state commandant of the Nigeria vigilante group, Salisu Rabo who confirmed the incident said the soldier was killed during an exchange of gunfire with the terrorists while trying to repel the attack.
According to Rabo, it needed the combined efforts of the local vigilante group and other security forces to restore calm to the village.
As normalcy had now returned to the village, he noted that efforts were still being made to free the kidnapped victims.
