Popular Rapper, Tekashi 69, has been reportedly hospitalized after it emerged that the US rapper was beaten to a pulp by a gang.
The incident was reported to have occurred on Tuesday at a gym in South Florida.
Tekashi 69, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was said to have visited the Los Angeles Fitness sauna, where it was reported that he was attacked.
The brawl produced a great deal of commotion, which led to the gym employees notifying emergency authorities immediately.
Police and an ambulance were summoned to the gym, where they determined that Tekashi’s injuries were so severe that he had to be transported to the hospital.
It is unknown why a gang of guys assaulted the 26-year-old, but they injured his jaw, ribs, and back in the assault.
His career has been marred with several controversies since his rise to limelight, among these controversies are, being accused of having sexual contact with a minor in 2015; involvement in an alleged altercation with a 16-year-old boy at the Galleria Mall in Houston, Texas in 2018.
Others are, connection with two shootings at Barclays Center and Brooklyn. In 2018, he was charged with two misdemeanors: operating a vehicle without a license and facilitating aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
In the same year, he was also reportedly investigated for a shooting in New York involving rapper Chief Keef among many others.
The rapper is also famously referred to as the Snitch, after he pleaded guilty and agreed to cooperate with prosecutors in 2020.
He was charged with federal RICO and firearms charges, including conspiracy to murder and armed robbery and faced up to life in prison. He was allegedly part of “a violent sect of the Bloods” known as the Nine Trey Gangsters.
Tekashi 69 had admitted to being a member of the Nine Trey gang and said he had helped other gang members rob people at gunpoint.
This testimony enabled him to get a reduced jail time.
