A tanker explosion on Tuesday occurred on the Obiri-Ikwerre Flyover along the East-West Road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
According to the Nation, the tanker, reportedly carrying Liquefied Natural Gas, overturned and detonated while navigating a roundabout, generating a massive blast that shattered windows and caused vibrations felt kilometers away.
The Fire Service is working to extinguish the fire, surrounded by onlookers and heavy security, the Nation gathered.
Eyewitnesses noted no casualties, as the driver managed to escape just before the blast.
There was no official statement from the authorities as at the time of filling this report.
